The Korea Times covered the 1Dream1Korea event held at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC on August 15 that called on public support for Korean Unification.
K-pop sensations Na YoonKwon and Yangpa joined a local choir to perform a newly composed song about Korean unification composed by reknown composer Kim Hyung-suk. At an earlier press conference Kim Hyung-suk shared his vivid childhood memories of pain of Korean division.
Event committee co-chairman, Dr. Jai Ryu, urged people to join the movement to inspire the “hearts and minds” of people with 1Dream for 1Korea.
A gala banquet was held the night before with leaders from civil society, faith organizations, and government institutions committed to the issue.
