The One Korea Coalition met a few days before the special commemorative event on August 15 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC.
Event partners include the Maryland Korean American Association, The Washington Women’s Association, the Montgomery Korean American Association, the Vietnam War Veterans Association, the Eastern Branch of the Maryland Veterans Affairs Association and the One Korea Foundation.
Dr. Jai Ryu emphasized the importance of public awareness and engagement with the issue of unification, “Washington DC is the perfect platform to magnify the voices of Koreans who long for unification.”
