Dr. Alexander Zhebin is a well-known Russian expert on Korea. He worked for 12 years in North Korea as a journalist and a diplomat. Director of the Center for Korean Studies (CKS) at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies (IFES) in Moscow since 2004. His fields of research are political developments in the DPRK, Russia’s relations with DPRK and ROK, security and nuclear problem on the Korean peninsula. He authored three books, chapters in various monographs and numerous articles on Korean affairs in academic journals and newspapers at home and abroad and frequently comments on events in Korea on major Russian TV channels.
